Semaglutide Injections

Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor antagonist that was approved in 2012 and is administered as a small subcutaneous injection that you will barely notice. The injections are given by a small needle into your abdomen.

Semaglutide, such as Wegovy or Ozempic, provides effective weight loss with minimal side effects. The medication decreases your appetite so you eat smaller portion sizes with less snacking and less cravings.

With Semaglutide, you're likely to start seeing weight loss within the first to second week of starting treatment. The dose of Semaglutide will be titrated on a weekly basis to the amount that is best for you.

Side effects are usually mild and include nausea, heartburn, and constipation in less than 10% of patients.

Drinking plenty of water, ingesting more fiber, and doing regular exercise will help to reduce possible side effects and also aid in your weight loss.

For your first visit, we will review your health and prepare a treatment plan.

The average dose of Semaglutide that most people need is between 0.5mg/week to 1mg/week.

The recommended dosage will be determined for your treatment plan after your first visit and adjusted as needed over the course of your treatment.

You will come into the office once a week to be weighed and your cumulative weight loss will be tracked. You will be asked about any side effects and, if needed, doses will be adjusted for maximum benefit. The injection is given by medical staff or the doctor and billing will occur that day. Insurance will not cover the treatment.

For treatment, you will receive a shot from a small needle into the abdominal skin.

We do not bill insurance for our semaglutide injections. We provide a competitive rate with an improved and easy process. All fees for treatment are due the day of your appointment. The rate and frequency of your treatment is discussed and agreed upon prior to treatment beginning. We also don't charge any extra fees. Simply pay for your semaglutide dose.

We accept credit card, check, ACH payments, and cash.

Other clinics may require extra fees for a required doctor’s visit, lab tests, monthly maintenance fees, and other charges in addition to the weekly charge for semaglutide injections. With Better Weight Loss, you pay only for the semaglutide injections.
